Shine Light strengthens media visibility through partnership with Baldezz Multimedia

Shine Light in Girls’ Education Germany–Gambia e.V. is pleased to announce the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Baldezz Multimedia, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the documentation and visibility of the organisation’s programmes and impact.

The signing ceremony was held at the Shine Light office in Brikama and brought together representatives of both organisations. The event signifies a shared commitment to professionalism, transparency, accountability, and impactful storytelling.

Speaking during the ceremony, Ebrima Fadera, Founder and President of Shine Light, emphasized the importance of the partnership and reflected on the organisation’s journey since its establishment. He highlighted the unwavering support of the German Board and reaffirmed Shine Light’s commitment to accountability.

“Transparency and accountability do not end with financial reporting. Pictures and videos are equally important because they provide our donors, partners, and the public with first-hand evidence of the impact we are making. This partnership will strengthen our ability to tell authentic stories and demonstrate the real outcomes of our work.”

He further noted that the collaboration represents another important step in institutionalising Shine Light’s operations and improving communication with supporters both in The Gambia and Germany.

Speaking on behalf of Baldezz Multimedia, Mrs. Sarjo Baldeh, Founder and Lead Photographer, expressed her appreciation for the confidence placed in her organisation.

She explained that Baldezz Multimedia is committed to helping organisations preserve their success stories through professional photography and visual storytelling. She assured Shine Light of the team’s dedication to documenting its activities with high-quality images while supporting the organisation in strengthening its presence across its social media platforms.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Fatoumatta Jallow, Gender and Children Welfare Officer of Shine Light, described the partnership as a significant opportunity for the organisation.

“We are grateful to partner with Baldezz Multimedia. We believe this is only the beginning of a long-term relationship that will enhance how we communicate our work and inspire more people to support the empowerment of girls and women.”

A special highlight of the event was the role played by Amie Manga, Speaker of the Shine Light Girls’ Assembly, who professionally moderated the signing ceremony. Having recently completed her senior secondary education and now serving as a volunteer with Shine Light, Amie’s leadership during the event reflected the organisation’s commitment to empowering young women through education, mentorship, and practical leadership opportunities.

The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for collaboration in documenting Shine Light’s trainings, community engagements, advocacy programmes, and other initiatives. Through this partnership, both organisations look forward to promoting positive social change while showcasing the impact of empowering girls, protecting their rights, and advancing gender equality in The Gambia.
