Dakar, Senegal — The Senegalese National Police have arrested ten individuals in connection with suspected drug trafficking and collective drug use during a security operation carried out on January 13, 2026, in the Chaay district, covering Parcelles Assainies and Niacourab.

According to a police statement, the arrests were made around 2:00 p.m. after officers on routine patrol detected a strong odor of cannabis coming from a building under construction.
