In a move signaling deeper regional cooperation, Inspector General of The Gambia Police, Seedy Muktar Touray, and his Senegalese counterpart, General Mame Seydou Ndour, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. President Adama Barrow at the State House in Banjul on Friday.
President Barrow extended a warm welcome to the high-ranking officials, stating it was a moment of pride for The Gambia.
“On behalf of the government and the people of The Gambia, I warmly welcome you. This visit signifies our shared commitment to effectively manage security responsibilities and foster closer collaboration between our two nations.”
The visit highlighted a unified commitment by The Gambia and Senegal to bolster security measures and enhance cross-border cooperation. It also underscored the Barrow administration’s dedication to advancing security sector reform as part of its governance agenda.
