The Gambia and Senegal have strengthened their economic ties with the upcoming Economic, Trade, and Investment Forum set to open in Banjul on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center in Bijilo.
The forum, jointly organized by the Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GiEPA), the Gambian High Commission in Senegal, and APIX, aims to deepen bilateral relations between the two nations while promoting trade and investment opportunities. It also seeks to enhance the ECOWAS protocol on trade, free movement of people, goods, and services, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices between the two nations’ investment promotion agencies.
The event will feature an official opening ceremony, panel discussions, and interactive sessions such as Government-to-Government (G2G), Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Government (B2G), and Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings. The forum will conclude with an official closing ceremony and a cultural gala dinner acknowledging the contributions of participants and stakeholders.
His Excellency Ousmane Sonko, Prime Minister of Senegal, will serve as the special guest of honor, while the Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Muhammad B. Jallow, will preside over the grand event.
