Banjul authorities have intercepted a BMW vehicle linked to an armed robbery operation that took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
The vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint (location withheld due to ongoing investigations), and the driver—who was not among the suspects captured on CCTV—has been arrested for questioning.
According to sources within law enforcement, investigators believe the detained driver may provide crucial information that could lead to the arrest of the actual robbers.
“They are currently interrogating him and expect to obtain details that will help track down the suspects,” a security official told LamToro News.
